The 34th edition of the men's team world championships and 31st edition of the women's team equivalent will be the focus of the badminton world from 24 April to 3 May, as the 2026 BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals take centre stage in Horsens, Denmark,
Sixteen national teams will compete in each event, which will be available to stream live on Olympic Channel via Olympics.com and the official Olympics app for mobile devices (territorial restrictions may apply).
The People's Republic of China are defending champions in both events. They have won 11 Thomas and 16 Uber Cups in history.
The format for Thomas and Uber Cups is that the 16 qualified teams have been split into four groups of four. Each group-stage tie will feature five individual matches, even if the total team match result is decided earlier. The top two teams per group qualify for the quarter-finals.
From the knockout rounds onwards, team matches will be played as best-of-five individual matches, meaning the tie ends as soon as one team wins three individual matches.
Three singles and two doubles rubbers are played in each tie, alternating between singles and doubles rubbers.
